My name is Sione Hurkmans. I am a graphic designer, illustrator, and small shop owner based in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

At the end of 2024, I started Studio Poon, an online shop where I sell various print works. Currently, running my shop is my full-time job. I studied at Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht in the Netherlands, where I also did my internship at Studio S2B. There, we worked with small businesses, private clients, and non-profit organisations. For my work, I use Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I also use ProCreate for illustrations. I am fluent in both Dutch and English.

The work I enjoy most is anything related to print. Whether it’s a magazine, a poster, or any other analogue creation, I love bringing designs to life. What I enjoy most of all is the design process itself. It’s always a bit of a puzzle—figuring out the right colors, typography, and composition, and determining how best to visually communicate a specific message.

In my free time, I enjoy writing and drawing in my various journals and notebooks. I also love reading; my favorite books are George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. Occasionally, I like to take on crochet projects, making bags or items like beanies.
