themaproeverij ‘24

The illustrations and poster were created for Fijnproeverij while I was an intern at StudioS2B. Before this project, I also made an illustration for Fijnproeverij—check out Themaproeverij ’23 for that.

The poster format was already established, featuring a dark background and brown shapes behind the text, matching the colours of the logo. 

As with the previous tasting illustration (themaproeverij ‘23), there was already an established illustration style. I wanted to maintain a similar aesthetic but adapt it to fit the new themes. For the "Port en Madeira" (Port and Madeira) illustration, I depicted barrels, candles, and a table with bottles and glasses. The owner of Fijnproeverij is shown holding a port tong. For the "Bijzondere Wijnen" (Special Wines) poster, I illustrated him pouring wine to add more movement and interest, rather than simply featuring him with more bottles and glasses. For the final poster, "Whiskey en Jenever" (Whiskey and Gin), I took a similar approach, with the owner pouring drinks into glasses at the bar, ready for tasting. A sack of grain is also included in the scene, adding a touch of authenticity.
